About this site
Hi, I am Boon. I was born and raised in Kyoto, Japan. I started to travel all around Japan because of the rent subscription service called ADDress. During the Covid-recovery period, I was able to travel very cheaply because of the government subsidy program, and I really enjoyed traveling to rural areas of Japan. After the subsidy program has ended, I found the rent subscription service, ADDress, which only cost me 40000 yen (about 260 USD) a month to stay in any of ADDress member hotels and houses throughout Japan. 40000 yen a month is much cheaper than the rent I was paying back then. Currently, the system has changed, and you need to purchase tickets to stay in ADDress accommodation. The price starts from 9800 yen for 2 tickets (2 nights) per month and goes up to 99800 yen for 30 tickets per month. It is still much cheaper than most hotels and guest houses. Many ADDress accommodations are located in non-tourist locations, and I got to interact with local people. For example, I stayed in a shared house and made dinner with the residents and ate together. Anyway, I spent about one and a half years traveling all around Japan and want to share my experiences with you, so that you can find travel information that interests you. If you have any comments or questions, please contact me.
